Resveratrol
Resveratrol is a polyphenol that some plants (grapes, blueberries, peanuts) produce as a defence against stress.

It became famous as a possible explanation for the French paradox and for activating sirtuins, proteins linked to longevity.

Early data in people or, mostly, from the laboratory. It only appears at the advanced level, and we say so.
Widely studied in animals; in humans, results on ageing and metabolism are inconsistent.

- trans-resveratrol with the dose stated, not exceeding 150 mg a day.

- If you take anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs, or have had a hormone-dependent cancer, ask first.
